Part 2: “Beaches in Africa? I haven’t really heard anyone talk about those…”

January 22, 2012 , , , , , , ,

My last blog entry “Beaches in Africa?” was meant to expose folks to the beauty of Africa’s beaches.  Now I want to share a few  of the other fun things we did and saw while we were in Praslin, Seychelles.  I’ve also mixed in some amazing scenery shots that I took as we were driving through Praslin.  I love seeing and sharing pictures that look like postcards.

A big part of any culture(s) is the music.  As an added bonus, the slide show is set to the music of a very popular African (Senegalease to be exact) singer/songwriter named Youssou N’Dour and the song is called “Africa Calling.”  The song is on a compilation CD that was made to benefit Intrahealth International (www.intrahealth.org), a global organization that partners with governments, NGOs, the private sector, and other organizations to foster policies that empower health workers to better serve communities in need.   Enjoy!
